Eight
people were trapped for more than an hour today when this ride, at a theme park
on the Gold Coast, came to a grinding halt. Later in the day it stopped again
but “only” for half an hour.
Some kid will go back to school and write a gripping essay called "My Holidays".
Of
course, when I say “mind over matter” I’m referring to having my head way
higher than my lunch. Well, that’s what happened in 1967 when I looked at the
scenic railway from outside Luna Park .
Some thrill seekers would pay big money for such a mistake!
ReplyDeleteNot me though and especially not at the ancient, creaking Luna park ride... ~shudder~
And your recent journey home provided much the same physiological responses without the thrills?
DeleteHoly cow and that wouldn't be the position to get stuck in! NOT okay....
ReplyDeleteThe third rung of a ladder is enough to make me shake. Definitely not the position to get stuck in!
DeleteI know I shouldn't laugh FC, but it does look kind of funny...only because I'm not on it hahaha! Wouldn't you think they'd close it down for the day after the first 'incident'!
ReplyDeleteTime is money, girl, Time is money!
DeleteWell, I suppose being upside down might be worse, maybe.
ReplyDeleteIt's all a matter of degree, then?
Deletethose rides aren't called Thrills n Spills for nothing.
ReplyDeleteYes! Both of those, Ann.
