round 3

When I got home last night, my wife demanded that I take her somewhere  expensive, so I took her to a petrol station.

  1. I'm going to share this one with my husband who needs a laugh - one of his best mates slid on icy stairs today; broke his leg in two places. One of the bones had burst through the skin!

    1. Oh, Kath, that sounds like one more reason I can add to the 6 million others for avoiding any place colder than Melbourne - which is saying something.

Suppose they'll be pinning his leg together, if you're still at a loss for Christmas gift ideas perhaps a small Allen key and a Phillips Head screwdriver?

I expect the breaks looked as bad as they sound, so any laugh will be a good laugh. Perhaps there's a joke about metal detectors at airports.

      Okay, there's a nice pikcha here http://www.someecards.com/usercards/viewcard/MjAxMi1kYzVkNTQxNjJjYzA0MWEw

    1. Red, I've not even read the darn thing - nor tried - but as I sit here cogitatin' 'pon a possibly witty riposte and heading down the path of what can I say that won't be punishable [nudge nudge] the expression 'tongue lashing' came to mind. Better quit while I'm ahead, methinks.
