Which should be most embarrassing, do you think - that I
wrote this drivel [a very long time ago] or that it is based on a true
story?
I had a little pimple
right between me cheeks;
the rotten thing just grew and grew,
and grew and grew for weeks.
I went to see a doctor,
told him I was sore,
and when I bent over he had a look
and said he saw two more.
He prescribed for me a lotion
that he said would make them heal;
It cost me 63 dollars and 45 cents,
but no better did I feel.
So I thought that if I squeezed them
they might go away…
and that's the very reason
that I can't sit down today

DeleteEmbarrassment is relative to one's care factor!! And now, I digress to introduce an irrelevancy in response to your comment on my blog! A church-going friend told us about a young child who insisted her favourite song was about a bear. The bear's name was apparently 'Gladly'. And his eyes were crossed. The hymn? 'Gladly the cross I'd bear'!!!! That's my all time favourite!!
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of sounding like an advertising jingle.. Everybody loves a teddy bear. It's cute. And makes more sense than "Dominic's a biscuit, here comes a spirit in a tutu'.
