scam spam

Just when I was beginning to think the whole email spam thing has become boring, the special offers on 'vigara' dried up and I started getting warnings about transactions that won't go through, statements I should check, and that the IRS [USian of course] is about to audit me.

After only a year of blogging I must now officially be an overnight success, because I'm getting spam comments. It seems from my posts that I'm the sort who would love to use a London prostate massage service.

But how dumb am I?
[Please stop laughing until I tell you why I'm dumb!]
If I see a missed call number on my phone and I don't recognise the number, I ignore it. No one is going to scam this tech savvy dinosaur! So what did I do yesterday? I googled a missed call number and then followed an internet link to try and find out whose number it was.

Now you can laugh.

  1. Luv, if you haven't had a London prostrate massage, you haven't lived. I get lots of spam comments. Does that mean I am successful?

    1. The very least they could do is try and make the rubbish entertaining.
      Or learn to spell?

  4. Isn't it just crazy stupid. You know if the spam writer spent the time they were using to do that trying to oh, solve world hunger everyone would be so much better off. I never got spam comments but put mine on "approval only" anyway because I HATE the whole word verification crap. As for phone calls, if I don't know the number they better leave a message! LOL Thank you for the fabulous suggestions on my photos by the way. I like the ideas and may just do that! You are oh so "out of the box"

    1. Your welcome, MT.
I really do love your photos, and especially looking at your world through your eyes.

It's only a matter of time before someone desperately wants to buy some. In the meantime, enjoy what you are doing, so I can!

  5. Gosh, I've only gotten one spam comment in a year and a half. I've done the same thing with phone numbers so don't feel alone.
However, I'm now starting to get email spams about 3-ways. Whatever.

    1. So, if this were a competition, you would be winning, methinks.
